AUSTIN, Texas — A mural paying tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna was defaced just hours after it was unveiled.
Sometime early Friday morning, someone painted the word “rapist” on the mural, referencing 2003 rape allegations made against the late NBA superstar by a Colorado woman.
One of the artists, Felix Jaimes, also known as Snuk One, went back to fix it early Friday morning. The Austin mural was painted by three artists; Jay Rivera, known as Laced and Found, and Riki Loring, known as SoCalGal213.
