A mural dedicated to basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi was created this week in Austin after they both died in a tragic helicopter crash in California.

AUSTIN, Texas – Two Hispanic artists created a mural dedicated to basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi came up this week in Austin after the tragic accident that killed them on Sunday.

“This was our way of contributing our love and passion for the team, the families involved and the sport. This is for the community, ”artist Felix Jaimes told Univision 62. The mural was created by Jaimes and the artist Josue Rivera. It is located at the back of the Sushi Hi restaurant, located at the intersection of Guadalupe Street and 29th Street. The image presents Bryant and Gigi side by side with the number 24 and the words “Black Mamba” next to them.

The art has attracted several people who have come to take pictures and place flowers, candles, and balloons, gradually turning it into an improvised monument.
